This quick taco recipe using ground lamb will be a pleasant surprise for your family. Our whole crew loved the change-up from our standard beef taco fare. There were no leftovers!
Ingredients
- (1 lb) Ground lamb
- (2 tsp) Chili powder
- (2 tsp) Cumin
- (2 tsp) Dried oregano
- (1) Lime or lemon, juiced
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Garlic powder (to taste)
Directions
In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, and oregano; set aside. Add ground lamb to a skillet and season to taste with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook on medium heat until browned. Add spice mixture and lemon/lime juice. Cook 2-3 minutes longer. Serve on flour or corn tortillas with your favorite toppings: cilantro, onion, salsa, pico de gallo, etc.
USDA recommends ground lamb reach an internal temp of 160F.
